RSUD Dr Dadi Tjokrodipo Bandarlampung mengusir warga miskin

Bandarlampung (acehomegazen) - Wali Kota Bandarlampung Herman HN menonaktifkan Direktur RSUD Dr Dadi Tjokrodipo, Indrasari Aulia, sehubungan adanya kasus pembuangan pasien yang dilakukan pegawai rumah sakit tersebut.

"Selama proses hukum ini berjalan, dia kami nonaktifkan sementara terhitung hari ini, untuk memudahkan pemeriksaan," kata Wali Kota di Bandarlampung, Jumat.
Dia menyatakan, penonaktifan tersebut bukan karena Indrasari bersalah, namun untuk memudahkan penyelidikan kasus tersebut.
Hingga saat ini, kepolisian sudah menetapkan beberapa tersangka, termasuk Kasubag Umum RSUD Dadi Tjokrodipo Heriansyah dan Kepala Ruangan Mahendri.
Untuk para tersangka yang sudah berstatus PNS, Pemkot Bandarlampung telah memberikan sanksi administratif berupa penurunan pangkat satu tingkat, dan apabila terbukti bersalah menurut hukum akan diberhentikan secara tidak hormat.
Herman juga menegaskan dirinya tidak akan memberikan bantuan hukum apapun terhadap para tersangka, termasuk membantu menyediakan tim pengacara.
"Tidak ada bantuan hukum apapun dari Pemkot, kalau dari DPRD atau institusi yang tidak di bawah saya silakan, tapi Pemkot tidak" tegas Herman.
Menurut Wali Kota yang juga mencalonkan diri sebagai Gubernur Lampung tersebut, perbuatan mereka bertentangan dengan visi dan misi Pemkot Bandarlampung yang menggratiskan layanan kesehatan sejak 2011.
"Secara anggaran untuk layanan kesehatan tidak ada masalah, jadi inisiatif yang dilakukan oknum PNS RSUD ini sangat tidak layak," kata dia.
Herman juga mengatakan, untuk layanan publik, RSUD Dadi Tjokrodipo juga dianggap baik dalam penilaian oleh Ombudsman dengan nilai 6,8.
"Status yang diberikan Ombudsman hijau dengan indeks 6,8 , jadi pelayanan yang kami berikan melalui RSUD sudah cukup baik," kata dia.

Papaver somniferum ( Apiun ) adalah tumbuhan liar musiman yang umumnya dikenal dengan nama 'Opium' atau 'Poppy'. Dalam produksinya dan dalam menopang perdagangan Apiun secara legal (dibawah lindungan hukum), banyak dibangun ladang Apiun (namun masih dengan lokasi yang dirahasiakan).

Saat bunga2 yg hanya berumur beberapa hari itu sudah menjadi buah yang masak, penuai akan mulai menuainya dengan cara memotong tangkai buah tersebut.
Di dalam buah yang kaya kandungan alkaloid tersebut, terdapat butiran-butiran benih kering sebesar kapsul. Benih inilah yang kemudian mulai dipasarkan di dunia kuliner.

Swine flu narcolepsy 'link' probed by WHO

At least 12 countries have reported a possible link between a swine flu jab and a rare sleeping disorder, the World Health Organization has confirmed.

It said "further investigation was warranted" following reports of 52 cases of narcolepsy linked to the Pandemrix jab in Finland.

Cases have also been reported in Sweden, Iceland and the UK.

The government agency which regulates medicines in the UK said a link had not been confirmed.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said: "The Pandemrix vaccine remains available and should continue to be used as recommended.

"The benefits of vaccination outweigh any risk of a possible side effect."

Narcolepsy is a rare condition where a person falls asleep suddenly and unexpectedly.

A possible connection between the swine flu vaccine and the illness first came to light in Finland.

Finland and other Scandinavian countries have reported a general rise in cases of narcolepsy - in both vaccinated and unvaccinated people - but the cause has not been established.
UK cases

A recent investigation by Finnish authorities found children given the swine flu jab Pandemrix were about nine times more likely to develop narcolepsy than those who had not been vaccinated.

The WHO's global advisory committee on vaccine safety reviewed this, and other data, last week.

It said the committee would continue to monitor the situation and agrees that "further investigation is warranted concerning narcolepsy and vaccination against influenza (H1N1) 2009 with Pandemrix and other pandemic H1N1 vaccines".

The WHO said an increased risk of narcolepsy had not been observed with any other vaccines - for flu or other diseases - in the past.

It said: "Even at this stage, it does not appear that narcolepsy following vaccination against pandemic influenza is a general worldwide phenomenon and this complicates interpretation of the findings in Finland."

The Pandemrix vaccine, made by Glaxo Smith Kline, has been used in 47 countries following the swine flu outbreak last year.

More than six million doses of the H1N1 vaccine have been given in the UK, with more than 30 million given across Europe.

The MHRA said it had received four unconfirmed reports of narcolepsy following vaccination.

It said the reports so far in the UK "are no more than we would expect to see by coincidence after vaccination".

Cancer deaths across Europe 'tipped to fall in 2011'

Experts are predicting a fall in overall cancer death rates for men and women across Europe in 2011.

Using data from the World Health Organization, they say cancer deaths should fall by 7% in men and 6% in women compared with rates in 2007.

Overall, almost 1.3 million people will die from cancer in 2011, they estimate.
Recent declines in stomach, colon, breast, womb, prostate and male lung cancers should continue, the researchers say in Annals of Oncology.

But they say female lung cancer is rising in all major EU countries except the UK.
According to the researchers, the UK has had the highest rates of female lung cancer deaths for a decade and, although they are not going down, they do appear to be levelling off.

Professor Carlo La Vecchia of the University of Milan in Italy and Professor Fabio Levi from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland reached their calculations by looking at overall cancer rates in the EU as well as individual cancer rates in six major EU countries: France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the UK.

Based on cancer trends between 1970 and 2007, they predict there will be 1,281,436 cancer deaths in the EU in 2011 (721,252 men and 560,184 women), compared with 1,256,001 (703,872 men and 552,129 women) in 2007.

More survivors When these figures are converted into world standardised rates per 100,000 of the population, this means there will be a fall from 153.8 per 100,000 to 142.8 per 100,000 in men, and from 90.7 to 85.3 in women - a drop of 7% in men and 6% in women - since 2007.

The overall downward trend in cancer death rates is driven mainly by falls in breast cancer mortality in women, and lung and colorectal cancer in men.

"Lung, colorectal and breast cancers are the top causes of cancer deaths, and these are showing major changes," say the researchers.

But in the EU as a whole, world standardised death rates from lung cancer in women have gone up from 12.55 per 100,000 of the female population in 2007 to 13.12 in 2011.
However, a worrying increase in deaths from pancreatic cancer in women, which had been observed in 2004, appears to have levelled off.

Professor Stephen Spiro, of the British Lung Foundation, said lung cancer remained the most common killing cancer in men and women and was related to smoking in 80% of cases.

"Over the last 30 years, lung cancer rates have dropped in men as they have quit smoking in large numbers. However, this trend is not seen in women as nearly a quarter continue to smoke.

"The rates of lung cancer in women are not falling in the UK and the disease has overtaken breast cancer as the most common cause of cancer deaths in the UK and in many European countries."

Mike Hobday, head of policy at Macmillan Cancer Support, welcomed the fall in death rates but warned the number of people living with cancer in the UK was increasing by 3% every year.

"We know that there are currently two million people in the UK living with a cancer diagnosis, if the current rate continues, the number will have doubled to four million people by 2030.

"Cancer is changing. For many cancer is now a long-term condition and it is important to realise that it is no longer just about people dying quickly of cancer or being cured."

A previous attempt at containing the prostitute at the Century Regional Detention Centre in Lynwood, California only lasted 25 days.

Ms Hilton may also be responsible for much of the infection in the whole state of California and tests have concluded some cities in Mexico may have been infected as well.

Symptoms include excruciating pain in the genital area as well as large warts erupting over the diseased parts. Urination may be painful to some and there may be discharge of green slime from the pustules.

Valentine's Day Heart Transplants All the Rage

LOS ANGELES - USA - Californian heart surgeons are set to work overtime this coming Valentine's Day with a mass of heart transplantation operations.
LA's famous Heart and Lung Center in Beverly Hills is set to have a busy day on the 14th of February when 34 patients will undergo cosmetic heart transplants to show their dedication to Valentine's Day and love for their partners.

"This is the first year we have been able to do this because we've got the right amount of surgeons this time. Our oldest patient is an eighty year old millionaire who is getting a heart transplant to show his twenty year old wife that his Valentine's gift to her will last and last. Apparently she's not very happy about it though and wants him to keep his old eighty year old heart but he could not be dissuaded from going ahead with the eight hour operation," Doctor Arnold Blitzer, chief surgeon in charge told the LA Times newspaper.

The hearts will be delivered to the patients in a heart shaped box before the surgeon implants the heart into the patient.

This is set to be the largest single heart transplantation operation in the world with the medical team and support staff numbering at least 350 on the day.

The transplants will cost each patient approximately $250,000 and even though the majority of the participants do not have anything wrong with their hearts they are going to change them mainly for more youthful pieces.

"The hearts are bought from China for about $200 then shipped over to the USA so that the Valentine's Day surgery can be completed. Due to the Communist regime, there is never a shortage of live donors. Even Dick Cheney was in here the other day. We did tests on him but as we suspected he does not have a heart. It's just a blackened cavity, so we had to sadly send him away," Doctor Blitzer revealed.

Vanity transplants are all the rage in America at the moment. For a fee of anything from $100,000 upwards, doctors can now transplant any body part you want purely on the premise of vanity.

White Americans Outraged by Obama's Healthcare Plans

PENNSYLVANIA - USA - President Barack Obama's plans for a nationwide healthcare system akin to the UK's National Health Service has come under intense negative pressure from a major section of the American population.
Here in Lebanon Pennsylvania jeers and taunts ring out from the local town hall where a congregation of locals rail at the new president's plans to socialise American healthcare. The majority of the assembled crowd are white middle-class and damn angry.

"Why should we have to pay for all the other people to have health care? I've worked hard all of my life and I pay for my own health insurance. Why should we end up like the socialist British with their crumbling NHS dealing with binge drinkers all day and night. You have to wait months, even years to get any treatment in the old crumbling, dirty, Victorian hospitals with hardly any facilities," one man told the assembled crowd of 1,500.

Indeed, it is true, the proponents of socialised healthcare know that those who stand to gain most are the millions of illegal immigrants and mainly African American/Hispanic population who do not have healthcare or will ever have a chance of getting it under a Republican government.

"Why should white people have healthcare and not us? African Americans want to get treated too. Now that Obama is saying we should get healthcare and that white folk should pay for it they're getting all angry? Well, they needs to grow up for a change," Elijah Jones, 47, a resident of Detroit told CBS news.

America's known population is approximately 304 million compared to the UK's of 60 million people, making a viable NHS style healthcare system an immense burden on America's already bankrupted taxpayers. Even with the UK's relatively low population there are serious limitations to treatment and there are cost thresholds for each person's life.

Britain's National Institute for Clinical Evidence (NICE), which evaluates treatments in terms of the average increase in life expectancy states that if the cost of prolonging someone's life for a year exceeds more than £30,000, then the NHS will not pay for that treatment. The NHS thus DOES decide who lives or dies in the UK through a 'death panel' and if the Americans were to get their own healthcare system like Britain's NHS they would have to incorporate a similar system in the United States.

If one looks at the British system, the NHS is on it's knees with massive black holes in it's huge budget through mountainous inefficiency and waste which severely puts limitations on the quality of treatment for every individual in the UK. The lack of funding under Labour, as well as the vast increase in the UK's population due to unfettered immigration has left the NHS moribund and near death.

UK waiting lists for the NHS are huge and most wait for treatment for many years only to die before anything is done for them, that is, unless you are a high ranking Labour politician or part of the hierarchy like a scientist or social technician.

"Here in the UK, anyone can be treated by the NHS, that's why half of the third world is daily trying to come across the Channel to these islands. Many succeed and are granted leave to remain, thus increasing the burden on society. Britain's binge and stab culture is also a huge burden on the already overloaded system. Every day the NHS is inundated with millions of patients who want costly treatments costing billions per annum. The NHS is just a huge blackhole for taxpayers money to pay for everyone's healthcare. So why can't America do the same thing? You will see the benefits for your populations," Britain's Health Minister, Burnham Haemorrhoid MP told a CNN news program about healthcare on Monday.

If you get cancer in England's NHS system you are consigned to mediocre treatment and a quick death, at least in America there is a good level of service for cancer treatments and the survival rates are much improved than the UK. This may all change of course, if Obama embraces the British system.

Once again, president Barack Obama has opened up a huge festering sore on American society. The US is a fractured nation where inequality is so engrained that it may take an internal war to solve.

Midwest Americans are now joining paramilitary and militia groups so fast that the authorities cannot keep track of them, all it would take is a certain spark to go off and America would be turned into a tinderbox of guns, psychos and pent up anger that has been at boiling point for quite some time now.

As Senator Arlen Specter said on Monday: "There is more anger in America today than at any time I can remember."

Decrease in British Babies Born Drunk Institute Reports

MIDDLESBROUGH - England - New statistics from the British Institute of Medical Natal Research Centre has revealed that the number of babies born in Britain still drunk has decreased by more than 3 percent.
Leading experts who have been keeping records on Britain's birth rate and practices since 1945 have revealed the slight decrease in the rate of babies born drunk in Britain in 2010. Social scientists have been debating the new findings with great zeal.

Can you imagine the socio-economic ramifications of this statistic? Police have been put on alert for another dangerous "party drug", just hours after the ban on mephedrone came into force. Officers from around the country have flashed warnings about the rise of a legal high known as "Jenkem" in recent months, as a series of deaths connected to mephedrone brought the synthetic stimulant to national attention.

Users report that Jenkem, also dubbed "butt hash", provokes effects including euphoria and increased brain activity similar to the Class A drug ecstasy. The UK's biggest online "Jenk shop", selling Jenkem paraphernalia, Jenkem containers and faeces cultivation equipment, reported it had sold out of Jenkem, which sells for £40 a bottle.

The content of the highly hallucinogenic drug is controversial because it is made from human fecal matter and urine, which is left to ferment in a container with a balloon over the opening to collect the hydrogen sulfide gas that is released. Thousands of teens across Britain are said to be huffing the highly addictive gas to get high – and even some police and government experts admit they have come close to addiction after trying it.

Kisah Memilukan Kehidupan David Vetter

Anak dalam Foto bernama David Vetter, anak ketiga dari pasangan David Joseph Vetter dan Carol Ann Vetter. Anak kedua dari pasangan ini(kakak perempuan David) bernama Katherine. Anak laki-laki pertama mereka(kakak Tertua David), terlahir dengan kondisi mengalami cacat Timus, yaitu suatu sebuah penyakit gangguan sistem kekebalan tubuh yang diakibatkan oleh kelainan Genetik. Beberapa minggu setelah kematian kakak David, Dokter mengatakan bahwa setiap anak lelaki yang akan lahir dari pasangan ini, kemungkinan 50% akan terlahir dengan kondisi yang sama dengan Kakak David. Oleh karena itu, Dokter menganjurkan untuk segera memasukkan anak laki2 mereka yg berikutnya(David) ke dalam ruangan isolasi steril(Gelembung) begitu dia dilahirkan. Kakak perempuan David(Katherine) dianjurkan untuk menjadi Donor Sumsum tulang belakang, agar bisa dilakukan Operasi Cangkok Sumsum tulang belakang.

Tapi kabar buruk, Sumsum tulang Katherine tidak cocok dengan David.

Pada tahun 1971, David lahir kedunia, Dan hanya 10 detik setelah kelahiran, bayi David segera dimasukkan kedalam Gelembung. Sebelumnya, di dalam gelembung telah disiapkan berbagai keperluan David seperti Pakaian, popok, makanan dan air.

Orang tua David berusaha keras untuk membuat David bisa tumbuh normal sebagaimana anak lain. Mereka memberikan pengajaran layaknya sekolah dan memberikan televisi di dalam gelembung David. Tapi usaha seperti apapun, tidak benar2 membuat David senang, karena bagaimanapun tak ada yang bisa dilakukan oleh David, kecuali berada di ruang sempit Gelembungnya.

Pada tahun 1974, saat David berusia 3 tahun, David bisa mengunjungi rumahnya beberapa kali dalam sepekan, tentunya atas seijin dokter dan masih dalam gelembung. David sangat dekat dengan Kakak nya, dan dia tidur di kamar yang sama, dengan kakaknya jika dia sedang berada di rumah. Tapi terkadang, mereka saling bertengkar satu sama lain. Dan kadang ada perkelahian kecil diantara mereka.

David memiliki teman sebaya, yg kadang mengunjunginya sesekali.

Saat David berusia 4 tahun, dia mulai untuk membuat lubang pada Gelembungnya dengan menggunakan jarum suntik yg tak sengaja tertinggal di dalam gelembungnya. Dan saat hal itu diketahui dokter, Dokter mengatakan pada David, bahwa tindakan itu sangat membahayakan dirinya, dan sejak saat itu, David jadi mengetahui alasan kenapa selama ini dia tinggal di dalam gelembung.

Di Usia 5. David benar2 menyadari perbedaan dirinya dengan orang lain. Dan dia mulai memikirkan masa depannya nanti.

Sekalipun media masa saat itu, telah membentuk Image David sebagai anak muda yg sehat yang tinggal dalam gelembung, akan tetapi kondisi mental david tidak demikian. David sering marah tanpa sebab yang jelas, dan tak mampu mengendalikan emosinya. David juga diketahui sering sekali mengalami mimpi buruk.

Pada tahun 1977, para peneliti NASA, membuat pakaian mirip pakaian astronot untuk dikenakan pada David. Pakaian berharga 50.000 Dollar tersebut memungkinkan David untuk keluar dan beraktivitas diluar Gelembungnya. Pakaian itu terhubung dengan sebuah alat semacam tabung Oksigen, lewat penghubung seperti selang sepanjang 2.5 mtr.

Setelah beberapa tahun, kondisi David menjadi semakin tidak stabil. Harapan untuk menemukan obat penyembuh penyakit David masih kecil, sama seperti ketika David masih bayi. Dokter khawatir jika David menjadi remaja nanti, dia menjadi semakin tidak terkendali.

Pemerintah Amerika yg awalnya mendanai pengobatan dan penelitian untuk kasus David, kini mulai berpikir untuk menghentikan aliran dana mereka karena sudah menghabiskan waktu yang lama, tapi tak juga membuahkan hasil yang memuaskan. Di tahun 1984, saat David berusia 12 tahun, atas rekomendasi dari Dokter, dilakukan operasi cangkok sumsum tulang belakang pada David dengan donor yang sama, dari kakak David, Katherine. Meski donornya tidak cocok, tapi operasi tetap dilakukan.

Beberapa bulan pasca Operasi, ada harapan yang tinggi akan keberhasilan operasi cangkok itu. Dan para Dokter sudah memperkirakan, David sebentar lagi akan siap untuk keluar dari Gelembungnya. Tapi, belum juga itu terjadi, untuk pertama kali selama hidupnya, David jatuh sakit. Dia diare, terkena Demam dan juga mimisan. Akibat keadaan itu, dokter menganjurkan David untuk keluar dari dalam Gelembung untuk menjalani perawatan intensif.

Ayah David bertanya pada anaknya, apakah dia bersedia untuk dibawa keluar gelembung, dan David pun menjawab..”Daddy, I will agree to anything to feel better.”. Akhirnya, David keluar dari Gelembungnya untuk pertama kalinya. Setelah keluar dari Gelembung, keadaan David tidak membaik. Dia langsung koma. Ibu David akhirnya berhasil memegang David untuk pertama kali, sekaligus terakhir dalam hidupnya. Hanya 15 hari setelah David keluar dari Gelembung, David meninggal dunia pada 22 Februari 1984.
